Sunday School songs for grown-ups.
One Kid's Lunch. "Sunday School" songs for grown-ups. Who these guys anyway? Two friends since about the 5th grade with a tendency to the weird, Dustin and Dave have been writing songs for over twenty years. After the thundering silence that greeted classics like "The Heimlich Maneuver", "Uncle Sam (is a Metal Man)" and "He Thinks He's a Kite!" (along with a few dozen band name changes,) and, even with the most excellent and humbling inclusion of "Attack of the 90ft Lounge Lizard" in an international Dr. Demento broadcast---the duo were compelled to dedicate their musical gifts (however rich or meager you might find them) to exploring their own faith, often tipping a sacred cow or two along the way. C'mon, it'll be good for you.... You might just like it.

Lyrics
Wake up, work, come home, watch TV. Wake up, work, come home, watch TV. Wake up, work, come home, watch TV. Wake up, work, come home, watch TV. Wake up, go to work, come home, watch TV Am I insanse yet? Surely there's more. This can't be all that God made us for. I'm getting so fat... Life just ain't what it used to be... Wake up, school, come home, watch TV. Now so complicated, golly! Wake up, work, come home, watch TV. Wake up, go to work, come home, watch TV. Rocking back and forth... Surely there's more. This can't be all that God made us for. Is this where life's at? Still, anchor-down. Every day a replay. What would Jesus do? And, just what will He say when I get my little halo? (la...la...la...la...) "Well done, faithful couch potato!" I don't know, that doesn't sound right... Comfort is the pan that fries us. Life might have some nice suprises, if I just follow His direction and get rid of my warped affection for the flat-gray of a no-risk life. Security's a prison term... Hey! Hey! There's more! This isn't all that God made us for! Hold on to nothing, Let Go! Move! Haul up the anchor, finally! And, let Jesus truly be the ocean and the wind... We'll see what happens then...
