Sunday School songs for grown-ups.
One Kid's Lunch. "Sunday School" songs for grown-ups. Who these guys anyway? Two friends since about the 5th grade with a tendency to the weird, Dustin and Dave have been writing songs for over twenty years. After the thundering silence that greeted classics like "The Heimlich Maneuver", "Uncle Sam (is a Metal Man)" and "He Thinks He's a Kite!" (along with a few dozen band name changes,) and, even with the most excellent and humbling inclusion of "Attack of the 90ft Lounge Lizard" in an international Dr. Demento broadcast---the duo were compelled to dedicate their musical gifts (however rich or meager you might find them) to exploring their own faith, often tipping a sacred cow or two along the way. C'mon, it'll be good for you.... You might just like it.

Lyrics
making your way day after day takes about all that you've got taking a break that would be great just gotta find the perfect spot Sometimes I wanna go where nobody knows my name, and we're all the same -- drowning in earthbound thought, wishing for better than we've got... (nah, better not) I know it’s wrong i should drive on but i pull in -- I feel so small prob'ly a sin shouldn't go in but I'm only human after all Sometimes I wanna go where nobody knows my name, and we're all the same -- drowning in earthbound thought, wishing for better than we've got... (nah, better not) well, guess I'm weak quietly sneak through the door, into this place just as I'd hoped no one takes note caught up in all their own escapes fixed on the man, Bible in hand, preaching a holy get-rich plan tempted, but no I better go don’t wanna get drunk on this, even though -- Sometimes I wanna go {give to get … place your bet} where nobody knows my name, and we're all the same -- drowning in earthbound thought, {give to get … what’ll you net?} wishing for better than we've got... (“please, please...”) Sometimes I wanna go where nobody knows my name, and we're all the same -- drowning in earthbound thought, praying for what we ain't got... (nah, better not...)
