As a single parent I understand hardships of life and have been writing songs for years but didn't pursue a music career till now. I packed my bags and headed for Nashville where I competed in a Nashville Star Search Showcase as a country singer and was offered a gospel recording contract. I didn't sign it, but I learned everything I could while I was in Nashville. I set out to publish my songs so people could be blessed by the lyrics. This is how "ShyAnne" began.

Story behind the song
In December 2006, ShyAnne found herself in ICU, close to death. The doctors released her from the hospital and told her to go home and rest. She went from ICU straight to the studio and recorded this song. She told her family, "God has work for me to do, I have to get this song out to the world" --------------------------------------------- Music and Lyrics by ShyAnne Mailen ©June 2006 The music was recorded at the Cypress Room Studio in Nashville TN by HIT songwriter and recording artist, Don King along with his session musicians. The guys did a terrific job capturing the joy about life in this song!
