One man, seven guitars, two basses, one Chapman Stick
I'm Claus Rogge. I've been working with homerecording since 1977 and have now got a fully digital studio (Ardour/AVLinux) at home and an analog one (Fostex M80, Tascam 308) for fun. I play a variety of guitars and basses, Chapman Stick (on newer pieces only!). Some of my pieces are mainly vehicles for improving my improvisational skill (like improvising in 15/8 or on real crazed changes) and some are composed and have been thought about for a long time before I record them.

Story behind the song
This song tries to tell a story where Carulli (classical guitar composer who is infamous for his uninspired style and use of repetitions) dozes off while one of his compositions is played by a bored ensemble (esp. the cello seems to be unfocussed!) and has a nightmare of a jazzband, then a rock band taking over. used for a home video of my son Julian and me snowboarding at Sportgastein, Salzburg, Austria.
