Songwriter, home recordist, and occassional performer. I write songs intended primarily for bikers who have either found Jesus or need to. For those that see
I've been a songwriter from the moment I picked up my first guitar. Over the years I've developed some skills on the keyboard as well which I use extensively in my home recording studio. I see myself more as a songwriter and session recorder than performer, though I do occassionally perform. Although I've written conventional and traditional material for most of my life, I gave up on it several years ago, primarily because there was nothing I found inspiring. Then I let Jesus come into my life and the inspiration began flowing like a river once again. I believe this is because God has a new mission for me, and that is to reach out and minister, through my music, to those in dire need of his saving grace. My audience is more likely to have tatoos and a motorcycle than a nice haircut and a minivan. This is for the folks who felt life rejected them from the beginning, so they have rejected life...but in doing so, they rejected the only thing in life that could save them from their misery. As one of the pastors from North Carolina's Freedom Riders stated to me, you can't ride free if you don't know what real freedom is, and only Jesus can give you that kind of freedom. I don't think you have to own a bike to have a biker mindset and to relate to this music. This music is for anyone who has felt beaten by life. Those who have tried all the worldly avenues to try and fill the hole in their hearts, but have found nothing but more misery and pain. For the hopeless in search of hope. And for those that have found Jesus and desperately hold onto that precious gift because they know, better than anyone else, how miserable life can be without it.

Story behind the song
Written in my head while on the road to North Carolina. Inspired by a number of sources but mainly the old-time, stand up, clap your hands gospel...with a little bit of New Orleans and southern style Doobie Bros. flavor added for spice....
Lyrics
Open The Door (Let the Son Shine In) Do you ever feel like somethinga019s missing Like the joy you felt when you were very young? Life has a way of taking over And once the knots are tied theya019re hard to get undone. For every problem therea019s a answer But the answer isna019t always what you thought When the road has beaten you down Ita019s time to pick yourself off of the ground And take a better road than the one you got. Chorus: Just open the door and let the Son shine in. Wrap Jesus around you, And be happy again. Let go of the sorrow And get ready for a brand new life to begin. Life is so much more once you open the door And let the Son shine in. Do you ever feel youa019ve lost direction? And every daya019s exactly like the last. You got no sense of where youa019re going. And youa019re standing still while life is going past. You know the answera019s always been there You could make the choice but still you hesitate. Whata019s the reason not to choose When you know you got nothing to lose? And youa019re losing precious time while you sit and wait.
