Story behind the song
Leaving Saigon (working title)
I play stuff for my own fun, not 100% perfect, can't do that, but i have an ear for music. Sometimes i hit upon a tune, i try to cement that into a 'theme', a tune which could be used in different settings. This tune/chords first were played on arppegiated synths, i tried to find what was the defining stuff, several iterations passed, now i'm at this point ...
'Leaving Saigon'? Well the first time i played this it had an 'asian' feel over it and with some melancholy in the mix i thought of 'Saigon' and all it stood/stands for. Reviewer Phillip Grigalanz hinted that the title and description are perhaps not a perfect match. So it is a working title. However i came across a story of a young woman leaving Saigon. I might fit afterall.
Enjoy the tune.
Brgds,
Max
(ps: the first time i improvised the tune was this http://soundclick.com/share?songid=8972219 the synth stuff ... it sound, well, bigger:))
