Hi! I'm a guitarist, singer and songwriter currently living in Fredericton, N.B., Canada. I've been performing music in one way or another since the mid '60's, starting out singing tenor in a barbershop quartet with my brothers and then into a progression of bands playing rock, jazz, blues and country and... whatever. It's been a fun ride so far and I'm still as exited about it as the day I began. Ralph Atkinson

Story behind the song
this song is about 25 years old and co-written with Pat Hawkes, bass player in my old band. He wrote the lyrics to the first verse on a scrap of paper, half-sang them to me and I took it from there.
Lyrics
well I feel a little older as the days go rushing by my mind's a little stronger from the life that has gone by I sing to you of friendship and the places I have been of people and good lovers that I have called my friends some have fallen by the wayside but I keep on movin' along 'til I run out of track there's no turnin' back no turnin' back well I won a few and lost a few but I have no regrets if there's one thing I'll never do again I haven't done it yet so I think about what lies ahead, not what I forgot to pack and I remember all the things we did as we roll down the track there's no turnin' back no turnin' back

Great song Ralph, really, lyrics and melody giving such a beautiful ballade, excellent arrangement and production, a perfect song. Stupend guitar lead I enjoyed really much. Good Job my talented friend ( as well to Pat for the inspiration you got from him)! :)

Great work turning Pat's opening verse into a very powerful ballad Ralph. Great instrumentation, vocals and production values all the way.
