Sunday School songs for grown-ups.
One Kid's Lunch. "Sunday School" songs for grown-ups. Who these guys anyway? Two friends since about the 5th grade with a tendency to the weird, Dustin and Dave have been writing songs for over twenty years. After the thundering silence that greeted classics like "The Heimlich Maneuver", "Uncle Sam (is a Metal Man)" and "He Thinks He's a Kite!" (along with a few dozen band name changes,) and, even with the most excellent and humbling inclusion of "Attack of the 90ft Lounge Lizard" in an international Dr. Demento broadcast---the duo were compelled to dedicate their musical gifts (however rich or meager you might find them) to exploring their own faith, often tipping a sacred cow or two along the way. C'mon, it'll be good for you.... You might just like it.

Lyrics
the Providence, the Soveriegnty, the Goodness, Kindness and the Omni-everything... Standing in contrast here, we got a random mess of every evil there could be.. "This isn't right," you say, as you pray in the pit...and stay in the pit. Maybe it's not so hopeless. Maybe it's in this darkness you'll find the way... Maybe He's speaking. Maybe it's in this silence you'll listen and finally hear Him say, "I do love you. You're gonna be okay..." You're channel surfing, stumble on a rich guy riffing on a power-parable... But, you've been losing faith in "having faith" well, that may not be all that terrible... Compare your faith to his--at least you can see, that ain't where it should be... Maybe it's not so hopeless.... Really flyin' not too long ago...where did you go? You've fallen through the cracks. You're so unhappy all the time, that's a real good sign you might just make it back. "This isn't right," you say, as you pray in the pit...and stay in the pit. Maybe it's not so hopeless...
